Threadnoodle is my new online home for people like you: people with busy hands and minds - people like me!
Do you like to keep busy, making things, thinking of things to make, collecting ideas, and trying things out? Do you like to think, ponder on, and learn new things? Perhaps you - like me - want to DO all the things WITH all the things!
Perhaps you have ADHD, perhaps you don’t. I was diagnosed in 2022, and it was pretty life-changing…and yet not. It explained a lot of things, but it certainly didn’t solve anything! My brain is still my brain, and it’s up to me to find ways to make it work for me. It’s certainly a blessing (all the ideas!) and simultaneously a curse (all the ideas!) I’d love to know more about your experience, if this is also you - we need to talk!
My aim for this space is to share my ideas and inspirations, and threads of thought that I’ve been pondering through the week. Sometimes I’ll share my latest project with fabric and thread or paper and paint, maybe my latest read, an interesting nugget of information I’ve stumbled across, or just something beautiful and inspiring that I think you’ll like. I’ll also share some of my experience of being an artist with ADHD, and if I find any super-duper tips and tricks that have helped, I’ll be sure to let you know 😅
I also offer online courses to help you develop your skills, creativity and confidence (see below for info and the latest news) and when I have something new for you to join, I’ll share it here in Threadnoodle first.

This is me
If we haven’t met already, this Instagram post is a good introduction to who I am and what I do:
Want to learn with me?
At the moment, I offer various things at different times of the year. All of them have lifetime access*.
My two biggest classes are:
Celtic Seascapes, which is open in the summer.
Fabulous Free Motion, which is open in the spring and autumn.
Other courses include bespoke book covers, bags, Christmas baubles, Christmas trees, winter landscapes and a little stitch book for hand embroidery.
I also offer a little ‘confidence kickstart’ for newbies looking to dip their toe into mixed-media machine embroidery - it includes painting and stitching on paper!!

*lifetime access means for the foreseeable future. If I do ever decide to quit, you’ll get at least a year’s access to any course purchased, minimum.

Thank you for being here,
This sounds so exciting and right up my street. I look forward to hearing more from you.
Welcome Izzy! Creating with textiles is something I'd love to do more of. For now it's yarn. Congrats on finishing your knitted hat! I look forward to reading more about your making. Cheers Jodie :)
