Love this sketchbook and what you’ve done in it. Like you I’m a lot freer (is that a word) when it’s not an expensive sketchbook!! Less pressure .

Thank you! We’re funny creatures, aren’t we - treat ourselves to nice things then don’t allow ourselves to use them…

This is a great idea. Thank you. And to build a little on what you said, I bought a small sketchbook with the inside cover set up with a small pocket and elastic across which holds a set of pencil crayons. If you want to go small, this is ideal, I think. Your posts are always so interesting and this one touched me on the mention of a fancy sketchbook being too precious to use. I have a whole collection of fancy notebooks that I never use. Can't resist buying them though. LOL!

Thanks Linda! I have a whole drawer full of sketchbooks…hence the dilemma over which one to take. If I see them on sale, it’s just too tempting to buy more ‘just in case’ - what, a miracle occurs and I actually use them all?!!

hahahaha Izzy. Much chuckling as I relished the resonance of … erm… well everything ! I feel so seen LOL.

I’m working up a mini-theory that there might be an optimum time/space/urgency relationship between the moment an idea for a thing is registered by the (my) brain and the actual start of making it. Think the increments are likely to be pretty small.

We must never ever meet in real, actual life 😂😂

oh and jolly well done - sketchbook sounds dreamy - Claire

I’d very much like to explore this optimum time/idea/action theory! Just thinking about that would need several coffees and cake. No action mind, just thinking and cake.

They're lovely pages! I try to make pages like that and it just looks like my imaginary dog has been sick on my sketchbook. Nice elastic too!

lol! Thank you. There’s more I’d like to do on lots of the pages, add embroidery etc. I also think the colours are a bit dull now, blaming my materials…! We’re our own worse critics.
