News! That ‘certain someone’s’ book is in our library and I have just ordered it!! My apologies to him that I’m not actually buying it.
Didn’t you have an interesting visit! Don’t know that I want to add another craft to my long list but it does look fun. I would love to do some weaving but I can hardly fit in my sewing room as it is. 😳
No worries! He doesn’t get paid anything anyway, he was paid to write it but no royalties (which I’ve always queried but he’s not one to make a fuss). He’s more interested that it’s been translated into multiple languages!
Hi Izzy, what an intriguing newsletter this week! I am now infatuated with Tadek and weaving. (Just what I need: another hobby/love affair to buy books, materials and equipment for!😳 And then move onto the next.) Seriously though, I am envious of the British museums of handcraft, like (my limited knowledge of) the V&A and Ditchling. I haven’t stumbled across the likes in the US. Maybe I need to find a US version of Izzy, to scout them out for me. By the way, your latest swirl is beautiful too. Maybe I can take the class the next time it’s offered. Thank you Izzy for providing more art info and ideas. I do love it! The internet is a blessing and a curse.😉
Ah, you’re welcome Nancy. To be honest, I’m slightly ashamed I’d never visited Ditchling museum before - it’s wonderful, and we’re very lucky to have such a venue and resource. And I’d have never forgiven myself if I’d missed the Tadek exhibition, particularly as I’ve ‘known’ about his work for decades but never seen it - and it was only 30 minute away. Perhaps I need to arrange some kind of field trip, for people to come and discover this part of the world too!
Due to the necessity of actually finding things when i need them (and unearthing forgotten treasure) I have recently had to reduce my stash by 50%. My current obsession is trying to find space for the remaining 50% and wondering how 100% fitted into the vacated space 😂
WOW! That exhibit looks fascinating, thanks for taking us along with you! I have to admit it comforts me to know that I'm not alone in my penchant for collecting fiber- or paper-crafting materials to do new things that I'll need another 50 years to get to (and I won't be alive that long). There's just so darn many beautiful and interesting things to try!! Glad you mentioned "someone's book", which I plan to buy for my cyclist hubby.
That looks like an interesting exhibition. Is it wise that I should be dragging you off to another one in a couple of weeks… I would hate to be giving you more distractions 😉
Wow what coolness! Just stumbled on your

That’s going to be my autumn task 😟

Ooh, hope he enjoys it! I’ll tell himself he’s had another sale 🤑 !!

Lol! I’m (mostly) in it for the gossip, and a spot of lunch tbh 😀 - a treat for being good and doing all my werk…
Sounds like a good enough reason to me!
